Introducing local delivery teams
In January we introduced local delivery teams in response to tenant feedback asking for a more local response in their neighbourhoods. This approach is designed to support tenants better by identifying and resolving issues more quickly.
The 5 new local delivery teams (Norwich North, Norwich South, Central, East and West) cover:
- lettings
- tenancy management
- dealing with anti-social behaviour (ASB)
- repairs and maintenance
- cleaning
- estate services and grounds maintenance.
The pandemic is currently limiting how we provide services. However, we hope that local delivery teams will allow us to make the most of digital communications and team building to keep improving how we listen and respond to our tenants.
Tenants can search for key contacts in their Local delivery teams - Broadland Housing Group (broadlandgroup.org).

Revised corporate strategy
In November our Board approved a revised 12-month interim corporate strategy, which sets out Broadland’s objectives until November 2021.
The new interim strategy takes into account the ongoing restrictions on our ways of working because of the Covid-19 (Coronavirus) pandemic. It replaces the interim strategy that we issued in April 2020, immediately after the outbreak. We are planning to consult tenants, members, staff and stakeholders this coming year so that we can approve a new 4-year strategy in November 2021.

New homes in Norwich
Working with Norwich City Council, we are building 6 new affordable homes at Webster Court in the city. The 6 x 1-bedroom, 2-person flats will sit on the existing parking area to the north of Webster Court.
The single block of 6 flats over 3 storeys will have communal garden areas and vehicle parking space. Visit our website for latest updates.
Corpusty consultation
We recently invited residents of Corpusty, Norfolk to a virtual consultation about the new scheme we are planning. We have previously delivered affordable homes on Heydon Road in the village. The new development will be a mixed tenure scheme of 38 homes.
Our virtual consultations, introduced in lockdown last year, have proved a popular way to engage local residents. The online events offer additional flexibility to view and ask questions about proposed developments over a longer period of time than traditional face-to-face consultations.
